Edit: I remastered this fractal for my calendar and tweaked quite a few things. It still isn't perfect in my opinion, but I always liked this fractal and I was glad to be able to apply some of my newer techniques to this piece.

So, I finally have started reading tutorials by other members of the fractal community, and I've been trying to absorb all this information as fast as humanly possible. This piece was inspired and influenced heavily by the greatness who is ^Platinus, and his tiling tutorial at [link] which has taught me a great deal about the workings of apophysis. I realized what I had done wrong in my past attempts to tile, and my new knowledge has enabled me to experiment with upwards of 10 triangles without losing control of the flame.
Someday I may become a great fractal artist, but for now I shall continue to study the work of the masters who have realized and added to the power of apophysis. I feel that ending my isolationist policies towards seeking out the knowledge of others will help me enormously.
It's not all that special really, I just played around with the parameters for a few hours and eventually decided that I wanted to make something like this. It's not quite the way I'd originally intended to make it, but I was happy with it. Anyway, I'm glad you like it. ^_^
I think you're on your way to becoming a great fractal artist. I am impressed with this fractal.
We may never have another Renaissance in the arts but the great artists like Dali, Escher, and Da Vinci would have loved to have the computer as their tool.
Thanks, I'll keep trying to improve my skills. Dali's style might not have changed that much with technology, but perhaps I am mistaken on that point. Anyway, I am almost afraid to imagine what Escher or Da Vinci would have been able to do with a computer.
